Khatme Nabuwwat 2011

A Golden Opportunity

A golden opportunity for the Muslim students and youngsters of Greater Manchester to meet the challenge of falsehood being propagated by some TV channels against Hadhrat Abu Bakr رضى الله عنه and Umar رضى الله عنه, the rightly guided successors of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

We feel great pleasure in offering an opportunity to the whole Muslim community, particularly the students and youth, to come and attend special sessions arranged by the Islamic Academy to clarify and explain the malicious propaganda and falsehood being spread, in recent times by some unscrupulous ulama and speakers on some TV channels.  They are causing confusion, dissension and disputes amongst the Muslim community in the UK and causing rift among the community.

The Islamic Academy has been working tirelessly over the last 40 years to achieve unity and harmony amongst the community by bringing various groups closer together through dialog and mutual understanding about various issues that are once again being used as bones of contention by some.

This unfortunate situation has arisen due to the efforts of some malicious and unscrupulous speakers on TV channels that have taken it upon themselves to spread falsehood, day and night and to cause disunity within the Muslim community.  We feel that this propaganda is against the honourable companions of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and may result in confusion, apathy and animosity within the Muslim community.

Some of the malicious falsehood being aired is the assertion that Hadhrat Abu Bakr رضى الله عنه and Hadhrat Umar رضى الله عنه forcibly took control of the Muslim state in Madinah when the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم left this world and even worse, some disgusting allegations have been made against the Mother of the faithful, the beloved wife of Hadhrat Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, Hadhrat Aisha رضى الله عنها.

Similarly, other mischievous Ulama are trying to stir up dissension and discord between the two sects of Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama’at by making false allegations against the eminent Scholars of the others that the attitude of the others is disrespectful to the honour of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, whereas this is far from truth.

Due to this despicable situation caused by these irresponsible and malicious individuals via the Media, the Islamic Academy of Manchester has decided to restore clarity, peace and harmony within the Muslim community by arranging question and answer sessions to answer these false allegations to spread the truth.

Hence, if any person is influenced or wishes to learn the truth so as to combat this malicious propaganda, then he is urged to attend any of the two hour sessions that have been arranged to take place after the Zuhr prayer (1.30 pm) on week days (Mon-Fri).  Two ulama have been appointed by the Islamic Academy to answer the questions asked by the Muslim students/youth for those who wish to learn the truth in the light of the true facts of history.
